A $100 per-person deposit holds your spot, and you pay the rest month to month until your balance is cleared. Everyone pays their own share by card, your price is confirmed in writing before you pay anything, and your exact due dates are listed on your reservation.
Here's the whole thing, including the parts people ask us about at 1am.
How it works, step by step
- Get a quote. Tell us your group size, destination and dates. We confirm availability and your exact per-person price in writing. No deposit until you've seen the number.
- Put down the deposit. $100 per person by card. Each traveler pays their own, so nobody fronts the room for the group.
- Pay month to month. Your payment plan is split into monthly payments, and every due date is listed on your reservation. Want to pay it all at once? Also fine.
- Clear your balance by your final due date. Once you're fully paid, you're set for the trip.
Your deposit holds your group's room block, not just your bed. That's why your group leader will be texting everyone to put theirs down the same week.
Put your due dates in your phone the day you book. A missed payment isn't the end of the world, but it's a text from us and a text from your group leader, and one of those is worse.
Which payment methods do you take?
Cards only: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. We don't take Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, wire transfers or personal checks. Cards give you protection that peer-to-peer apps don't.
What if a payment is missed?
Talk to us before it happens. Under the Terms & Conditions, a missed payment can lead to a late or reinstatement fee, loss of your first-choice hotel or transportation, or cancellation of your reservation. Your trip rep would much rather help you catch up than cancel you, so reach out early.
What's refundable?
- Deposit: non-refundable.
- Payments: we don't issue refunds ourselves. If you need to cancel, tell your trip rep, and if you bought travel protection, you request a refund by filing a claim with the insurance provider.
- Travel protection: optional and highly recommended. It's the way to protect your money against things like illness, a family emergency or a canceled trip. Details on the travel protection page.
All of this is in your booking confirmation and the Terms & Conditions. Read them once now instead of frantically in February.
What if a roommate drops out?
It happens on almost every trip. Your options are to fill the spot with a new friend or rebook the room at a lower occupancy, which raises the per-person price for the people who stay. Your trip rep will show you both numbers before you decide. A name-change fee may apply, and it's listed in the Terms & Conditions.
Book a room for five people if five are interested. Someone always drops, and you'll still have a full room.
Final Thoughts
Spring break costs about as much as a decent laptop, and you wouldn't pay for a laptop all at once either. Put the deposit down, spread the rest across the semester, and let the group leader stop yelling.
